  1. Move in storage

Paul’s team. AMAZING. WHY use anyone else. They were fantastic. And fast. Thank you very match and god bless you

  2. Bait & switch on pricing, inefficient, damaged items and did not wear.

They quoted me a 4 hr estimate for a standard 1 bedroom move and they ended up taking 8 hours for no reason. Since they charge by the hour, the incentive is to take as long as possible and overcharge you.

They get their customers by providing a reasonable price/time estimate, and on the day of the move, once I was already stuck with this service, the team of 3 men they sent worked so inefficiently that the move took 8 hours instead of 4! 2 of the 3 men were mostly standing by the truck talking the whole time while waiting for the third one to slowly disassemble my furniture and to wrap it on his own, which created a huge bottleneck. The other 2 would then proceed to move/load it only once an item was available. On top of that, they basically damaged almost every single furniture piece they moved: my pull out couch does not pull out anymore, they damaged coffee table, tv stand, and cabinet etc And nothing says unprofessional more than damaging my tv screen, which is clearly a fragile item!

I complained to the company about the lazy, inefficient job they did, and they completely ignored it. I was supposed to pay around $820 but instead it cost $1815 for no reason! Plus all the damages I have to cover.

Also, none of the 3 workers wore masks despite the pandemic and although we prompted them to!

I deeply regret having used them, I would strongly suggest you stay away. Either complete the move yourself or hire a company that does not use a bait and switch and provides a reliable quote!

    Great service!

This was my first time using a moving company and Imperial Moving was recommended to me by a coworker. The movers were amazing. They disassembled what was necessary and wrapped everything perfectly. James was one of the foremen and he communicated the process to me along the way. He also made sure to check each piece was loaded into the truck correctly. They made me feel like my belongings were their belongings with the level of care and overall expertise. James and the other foreman Sergio were clearly seasoned moving professionals and I’d highly recommend their service. Tip: speak to their client relationship department first to ensure you get their more seasoned movers-or ask for James!

    Ice cold scam artists.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! I wish I could give them negative stars. Here’s what happened: I got an initial quote from a guy named Daniel for $960 for my pack and move from NYC to CT. He told me via email that it was a FLAT RATE which included everything. I confirmed this with him several times. I also called and told them I had some items to be discarded and confirmed the small extra cost for that.

Flash forward to my move day, the movers come and are pissed they have to pack the apartment and dispose of those items because no one told them about that. Umm.. what? We didn’t even have that much stuff and had packed most of our clothes already. When the move is finished, it’s after the office is closed and the foreman tells me my TOTAL IS OVER $2700. The guys refuse to leave until I pay them that amount and I had a 2 month old baby so I needed these big scary dudes to leave. They told me we could call and “get a refund.” Ok sure.

So I end up speaking with some horrible guy named Roy in their complaints department who offers me a $200 refund after accusing me several times of having “more stuff” which I certainly did not. What a joke. Eventually after numerous complaints to them and the BBB I get that offer raised to $600, but then he stops responding to my emails. They owe me over $1500 and refuse to even come close to that number.

I understand Daniel’s quote was wrong from the beginning, but that is their problem, not mine. I am going to continue to fight this until I get my money back, because scamming a young family with a baby is effed up and we really need that money.

Customer service was doo doo, moving team was good.

Much like gyms subsist on folks with memberships that have more intention than will to go, Imperial Movers relies on under-staffing jobs so that they can charge more. For my late-March move, I was allocated 3 gentlemen to move from my storage unit into my one-bedroom apartment in an elevatored building. They were slow to get out of my storage unit, and the porter of the facility had to help. Once at my building, one guy disappeared. So as not to drag the move on forever and into additional $100s, I took his place. I believe he sat in the truck while the two dudes and myself busted ass, which was absurd. Their customer service was nil once they were paid, the salesman that locked in the “deal” was nowhere to be found after the transaction. This was not the experience I was looking for. I neither recommend nor will use this company again.
